Frequently Asked Questions

Unlike most other airport transfer services that outsource their business to local companies, we own and run our own cars, with the goal of offering the best airport transfer services in south Vietnam. With the proliferation of taxi scams in Ho Chi Minh City, we feel that this is the perfect place for a customer focused business like ours.

We are planning on expanding our business to other Vietnam cities in the near future.

Not at this time. We currently only offer full day tours around Ho Chi Minh City, The Cu Chi Tunnels, and Mekong Delta.

We have a fleet of late model transport vehicles (Toyota, Honda, Ford, etc.) that seats from 7-29 people.

In addition to offering the most trustworthy and safe drivers in Vietnam, we also give all our guests a Drive Vietnam goody bag that includes everything you need to start off your trip on the right foot.

The price of your Vietnam airport transfer also includes a mobile hotline number that you can call in case of emergencies. No other airport pickup service in Vietnam offers the same level of personal service.

Drive Vietnam employees will be wearing a brown/tan driver’s cap and a white button down shirt. We will also be holding a sign with the name of the person that booked the transfer.

No. We are not a car rental service. We only offer concierge airport pickups and drop-offs and private tours around the Ho Chi Minh City area.

Perhaps you’ve read the reviews. Visits to coconut candy factories and bee farms. Pictures with a python. A short pony cart ride. Elephant Ear Fish for lunch. Rushing from one stop to the next, chased by vendors trying to get you to buy things. This is what most Mekong Delta tours are like.

Our Mekong Delta Unscripted tour does not include any of those things. As the name of our tour implies, we will show you the lives of the local people unscripted. No gimmicks.

In our opinion, the only worthwhile floating market to visit in Vietnam is the Cai Rang Market in Can Tho. To visit that market you would have to stay overnight in Can Tho and wake up around 6am to see the market at it’s busiest. Our Mekong Life Unscripted tour is a 1 day Mekong Delta tour so we would not be able to get to Can Tho in time to visit the Cai Rang floating market. Many tour companies take their guests to the nearby Cai Be floating market, which is much smaller than the Cai Rang Market, and fairly touristy. We personally do not think the Cai Be floating market is worth visiting, that’s why we do not include it as part of our itinerary.

Cancellation policy for Airport Transfers/Tours:

There is no fee for any cancellations made at least 5 days before tour/transfer date. Cancellations made 2 to 4 days before tour/transfer date will be charged a 50% cancellation fee. If you cancel within 24 hours of your tour/transfer date, there will be a 100% late cancellation charge.

Flight Delays/Changes:

Although we will do our best to keep track of any flight delays, it is your responsibility to let us know if you are changed to a different flight/airline. Our airport transfer service includes a 2 hour waiting period. If our driver has to wait longer than 2 hours, there will be a 10 USD fee for every additional 2 hours.

The booking cutoff time for our airport pickup is 12 hours before the arrival time, and for our tour is 12pm on the day before the tour date.

We generally recommend however that our guests book their service(s) with us at least 1 week in advance of their desired transfer/tour date to increase the likelihood that there will be availability. There is no guarantee we will have availability once you wait to close to the date to book.
